Globally recognised as a mecca of wine; France is home to some of the world’s most iconic wines. Winemakers from around the world take inspiration from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne, the Loire or the Rhône. France, with its rich, if turbulent, winemaking history, has set standards of quality (and quantity!) for all modern wine-producing countries. With an abundance of styles, the French wines are diverse and have a unique focus on terroir, an inspiration and treasure cove for wine lovers. Considering its geographical size, it’s incredible that France is the world’s third biggest wine producer.
