Cabernet Franc is a versatile red grape variety that is grown globally, most famously in France but also found in Italy, the USA, Canada, South America, New Zealand and South Africa. A hardy and thick-skinned grape that is capable of producing powerful and complex wines. Deep in colour, with a rich perfume of spices, berries and raspberry leaf, and powerful tannins. This grape is a key component to many famous Bordeaux blends for its contribution to the body of wine. The huge structure of the wine produced begins with deep fruit flavours with a mineral and fresh undertone that develops to savoury earthy notes.
