Made from 40-year-old vines, planted in clay and gravel soil, the Grand Français Cuvée Le Petit Français is a superb example of entry-level Bordeaux which does not go into oak barrels and has a fresh, pure style.
Organic certified, the wine had a brilliant expressive floral nose thanks to a good percentage of Cabernet Franc. It has bags of sweet black fruit, black cherry, and fruits of the forest. A deep earthy undertone along with coffee and cacao beans complement a remarkable juicy and silky texture. Aged in for 10 months before bottling, this wine is a modern approach to Bordeaux and one we truly enjoy!
