Square Mile Escape Artist – Richard from Wanderlust Wine

March 2018

We were featured in Square Mile magazine’s February edition. Richard told his story of finding wine as a career and finding a way out of banking in their ‘Escape Artist’ feature.

The full story we had to tell can be found in our About Us section. Square Mile’s condensed interview summed up the journey into finding small producers to import to wine lovers in the UK:

Through a tireless selection process, Richard Ellison (the owner) has developed a sensational list of wines that [ read more ]

July 2017

‘hiahia’. That’s the name of our wine. It’s like a small round of applause, showcasing how proud we are to bring our own label wine which has been a big ambition of ours as the business has grown and flourished. Often people said “but where is the great artisanal Sauvignon?”, well, we decided to make our own and we think we’ve done a decent job of it. Come and try some later in July at the release date party.

‘hiahia’ is the Maori word for lust and desire, perfectly symbolising the wine we wanted to produce which is floral, delicate, and light with flavours of elderflower, crisp apple, pear, eucalyptus and gooseberry.
