This small domain in the heart of Menetou-Salon was created in 2003 by Laurence and Geraud de Farge. Laurence’s father Bernard was involved in setting up the Menetou-Salon appellation in 1959 and his passion for this land is obvious. Antoine, the son, is now the driving force behind this family-owned estate. With his ambition and skilful winemaking techniques, Antoine took over the land from his parents at Domaine de l’Ermitage in Menetou Salon and has developed a range of wines under his name, designed to showcase the grapes and appellations of the Eastern Loire.
The wine reveals a light garnet red color with aromas of sweet cherries and a hint of black fruit accompanied by notes of fine herbs and a touch of smoke. The palate is ripe, with hints of plum, baking spice, smoke and raspberry. The finale is nice, soft and warming.
