Nebbiolo
Nebbiolo is in the infamous grape of Piedmont where it used to produce the iconic wines of Barolo and Barbaresco. A complex and alluring wine that is similar to Pinot Noir, thin-skinned with powerful aromas of black fruit, violets, rose, and tar and a distinctive earthy aroma. Nebbiolo has strong tannins which give the wine the capability to develop and age so well. An ethereal and majestic wine that is particularly difficult to grow. Nebbiolo takes its name from nebbia, Italian for the fogs that characteristically drape the Piedmont hills in autumn.
