Saint Olive is the first urban winemaking wineries in Lyon, producing hand-crafted wines on-site. They exclusively use local grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Gamay, and Syrah. The fruits are carefully selected from seven estates located within an 80-kilometer radius of the winery.
The 480 Viognier has an expressive nose of white peach, apple and sweet lemon; generous with a touch of floral notes to it. In the mouth, it is well balanced as a non-oaked wine with fleshy peach dominating the flavours, mouthcoating with a lovely weight to it. A touch of bitterness at first is offset against richer flavours with a brilliantly long finish for a wine at this price.
