Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc originated in Bordeaux, France, where it is known mainly for its smooth blends of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon followed by fine maturation in oak that gives body and texture. However, it is most known in Malborough, New Zealand where the grassy fresh style is herbaceous and has a distinctive gooseberry aroma and is loved by many worldwide. The Loire also produces sophisticated Sauvignon Blancs; In Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé, winemakers produce dry and crisp white wine which demonstrates the mineral and flinty complexity of the grape.
