This is HJ Wiemers ‘Estate Blend’, combining the best characteristics of the red grapes they grow on the property into one wine. There is a complex array of soils and microclimates next to Seneca Lake which has given the team at Wiemer the chance to plant what grows best. The grapes are fermented together: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Blaufrankish and Cabernet Sauvignon providing a spectrum of juicy ripeness with a backbone of gentle tannins. Expect flavours of inky bramble, floral dried rose petal, berry smoothie, pepper, cherry and mouth-watering cherry.
