Dreaming of that heat and seaside air? There are few island experiences as dreamy as Santorini which arguably makes the best Greek whites. Vassaltis is in our eyes the best producer on the island, making incredibly complex, delicious and saline wines that transport you back to sitting on that oceanside Oia terrace. After being sun-dried for 8-12 days, the fruits are pressed and aged in oak for 5 years. This wine-making process results in complexed layers of flavours and potential for further aging.
The 2017 vintage has developed amber hue with hints of an orange rim. The aromas are layered with dried figs, prunes, and followed by vanilla and coffee notes. The sweet character is balanced with the a refreshing acidity, an elegant expression of the Vassaltis’s Wines.
