Australia
As the sixth largest country in the world, Australia’s wine-producing regions are vast in their differing landscapes resulting in diverse wines. Most of the wine production is in South Australia. It is known most famously for its rich and fragrant eucalyptus Shiraz which ripens perfectly in the hot climate. Without the legal restrictions that bound the old world, Australia has been able to be creative and explorative in its winemaking techniques. Australian Natural wines are hugely popular, and the demand for sustainable, organic and biodynamic wine is increasing. With the warm and sunny climate, Australia’s capable of growing many different varieties and has set a high bar with its Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.
