The 2014 vintage offers a rich blend of dark cherry and red berry flavours, complemented by hints of spice and black pepper. This wine is aged in a combination of new (40%) and older (60%) French oak barrels with minimal sulphur additions. It was crafted with the intention of avoiding an overpowering jammy flavour and excessive use of oak. This Syrah is a sophisticated and intricate blend that captures the essence of the McLaren Vale terroir, balanced by a smooth texture, refined elegance, and spicy undertones.
With almost 10 years of bottle ageing, this wine is in its drinking window but can also age beautifully for another 5-10 years in the cellar.
