Joe Swan founded the estate forty eight years ago in Sonoma County. He believed winemaking should be small crops to produce more intense, age worthy wines. Joe’s last vintage was in 1987, followed by Rob and Lynn Berglund who run the estate today. This wine comes from some of the last old vine zinfandel vineyards in the area, planted during the prohibition era.

The nose has pronounced aromas of blackberry, black pepper, and baking spices. While the full bodied palate, and medium acidity pair with the textured tannins. A big Russian River Valley Zinfandel to taste!
