Tickerage produce very small batch, hand-made wines in East Sussex. Their smallest batch Pinot Meunier is no different, instead of releasing young it is aged for 8 years for extra complexity. Only 2,062 bottles of this wine were made, each bottle is individually numbered which is just a part of how the Tickerage wines are hand-crafted.
The wine is fresh and saline on the nose, nutty with hints of minerality. Rich and mouth-filling, there is lots of salinity on the tongue with sour cherries and citrus. Savoury and mineral through to a super-long finish with good acidity underpinning. Not many wines have the richness to naturally hold balance without sugar (dosage) addition and this is one of them. A brilliant addition to our proud range of English wines.
