Howard’s Folly sources fruit from the region of Portalegre, in North-East Alentejo. Cooler temperatures, high altitude sites and mineral soils where old vines have thrived for nearly a century, produce wines of great complexity and freshness.
Their Sonhador red wine is produced from the Alicante Bouschet, Aragonês and Trincadeira grape varieties on mineral-intense granite soils. The wine is a full-bodied red with sweet black fruit, blueberry tart, and black cherries with a green herbaceous accent. Structured and concentrated with a spicy finish. Portuguese red lovers will easily take to this flavour-packed wine.
