The Eyrie Vineyards Trousseau

£50.00

The Eyrie Vineyard in Oregon stands as a living testament to the birth of Oregon’s wine industry. Pioneer in the truest sense, David Lett was the first to plant vines in the Dundee Hills, Oregon in 1965. He believed Willamette Valley would be the second-best home for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay outside Burgundy. Apart from the suitable climate, David also selected the most iconic soil: Jory, now Oregon’s state soil, formed from volcanic flows 15 to 17 million years ago.

Today, there are 300+ wineries in Oregon, The Eyrie Vineyards continues to shape Oregon’s wine legacy, crafting wines that reflect the unique character of their land and the enduring spirit of the region’s style.

This wine has a vivid red colour and has a strong scent of dark cherries, black current, earthy, and baking spices. On the palate, you will notice the well-balanced acidity and smooth texture. The flavours evolve after a few swirls, with hints of herbs and fruits like blackberry, pomegranate, and rhubarb. The tannins are light, with a precise, long finish that suggests superb cellar potential.
