Domaine Albert Boxler, a producer in Alsace with a history dating back to 17th century. Today, Jean Boxler is practising organic viticulture and minimal intervention in the cellar to produce wines which inspire a cult-like following. Jean meticulously divides the individual terroirs within Sommerberg and Brand into smaller parcels, each marked with a single letter on the labels. These parcels yield some of the most concentrated and age-worthy wines in the region, making Domaine Albert Boxler a true treasure for wine enthusiasts.
The 2005 vintage is showing garnet colour in the glass. Its nose gives notes of dried redcurrant, cranberry, a bouquet of dried flowers and herbaceous. The expressive palate is packed with fruity character with a touch of earthiness. A Burgundy-style Pinot Noir from Alsace.
