Less than 6000 bottles of this wine were made. To attest to its scarcity, it is hand made and finished. To provide the exuberant complexity this wine has, it rests on its yeast until it is sold in small batches to us.

That gives the wine a seriously complex, yeasty nose. Now 7 years old, the wine has matured to provide aromas of stewed apples, plums, damsons and cranberry. In the mouth, the acidity is very much still prominent, but complemented by flavours that have developed with yeast ageing. Honeyed, round, complex, layered and rich, we think Tickerage’s wines are one of the real hidden gems in the English wine scene.
