This is Panorámico’s modern take on Clarete, a traditional Rioja style made by fermenting red and white grapes together. Viura and Garnacha, from 40- to 80-year-old vineyards planted at 750 m altitude, are vinified in a concrete egg and allowed to rest on the lees (dead yeast) for added complexity and texture. The result is a light pink, vibrant and supremely elegant wine.
Beautiful nose, intense and complex, with notes of citrus, strawberries and flint. On the nose, there is citrus fruits, strawberries, elegant complexity with intensity. Smooth entry on the palate, with zippy acidity and citric vibrancy opening up to flavours of strawberries, cranberries and pink grapefruit. Long finish driven by lovely minerality and refreshing acidity.
