Niepoort Wines, founded in 1842, is currently managed by the 5th generation of the Niepoort family, Dirk Niepoort. Although a small winery, it has gained a noteworthy international reputation for its port and still wines. The objective behind the creation of the Drink Me series was to produce a red wine that is easy to drink, yet maintains complexity, mineral notes, and great depth – much like a classic Douro wine.
Showcasing aromas of mineral along with bright red fruits on the nose. This full bodied wine is uplifted with crunchy red berries, mint and herb accents. With the trademark violet character, there is no doubt of the origin of this quaffable wine from the scenic, port producing valley.
