We are very proud to have Mas de Daumas Gassac’s wines on our portfolio. Having believed in making wine in what was a farming county many decades ago, their belief in the region paid off with them proving the soil and terroir could make outstanding wine. Now generations on, they are well regarded as the ‘first growth of the Languedoc’ with their flagship, complex Estate wines and now a much more affordable everyday range.
Moulin de Gassac is a lower-priced blend of bigger red grapes made in a juicy style that does not need to be put down for ageing and can be enjoyed with or without some age. 2004 was the 27th vintage from the family and is now fully mature for this wine and ready to pop and drink! It will resemble old Bordeaux; flavours of Plum, black cherry, milk chocolate, dried fig, prune and a smoky tobacco note. For those that like aged wine, this is a snip at 30 quid from one of the top estates in the whole of France!
