A family-owned vineyard, by Sir John and Philippa Hegarty. The estate is 15 hectares of vines that are surrounded by woodland and sits in the AOP Minervois region of the Languedoc. They pursue non-interventionist farming philosophy, based on biodynamic principles.
The 2017 Le Matelas, has bright aromas of strawberry, raspberry, pepper, and spices on the nose. A full-bodied wine, with fine tannins and a long finish of ripe red fruits. An energetic red wine to be enjoyed!
