2008 was one of the top-rated Champagne vintages of the noughties, alongside 2002 and 2004 and this should not disappoint! It is a vintage that is ready to drink now but also promises great potential for further ageing.
On the nose; a delicious fruit intensity with elegant lemony citrus notes and subtle almond, delicious buttery notes and light plum jelly. On the palate, it is a taut, precise and structured Champagne with seductive texture, benefitting from 9 years of ageing. Its extra brut dosage (4 g/l) means the wine provides a persistent finish with a structure defined by the quality of its potential as a great vintage.
