Pinot grigio, but not as you know it! Unlike the cheap, mass made versions you see on supermarket shelves which are thin and just have some basic fruit and acidity, Channing Daughters makes an artisanal version they call “clean, alluring and focused” with layer upon layer of flavour and character. 27% of the wine was in oak barrels and the wine was made with the grape skins sat with the juice for a portion of time. These two elements give this wine it’s complexity, character and swagger!
The wine possesses layers of fruit flavours including fresh pear, citrus, honeysuckle and brown spices complemented by a long, saline minerality eventually stretching out to a long juicy, satisfying finish. Only 582 cases made. Excellent with fish, light chicken dishes and pasta.
