Vintage Mas de Daumas Gassac Rouge 2004

£90.00

We are very proud to have Mas de Daumas Gassac’s wines on our portfolio. Having believed in making wine in what was a farming county many decades ago, their belief in the region paid off with them proving the soil and terroir could make outstanding wine. Now generations on, they are well regarded as the ‘first growth of the Languedoc’ with their flagship, complex Estate wines and now a much more affordable everyday range.

At its 20th year of bottle ageing, the fruity flavours are fading to tertiary aromas of dried roses, woodland moss, truffles and game! In another 3-5 years, this wine will continue to evolve into its magical flavours if it is laid down properly in a cool cellar with the right humidity.

This wine has finesse, it’s friendly and elegant, soft, fruity and mouth-wateringly rounded. Thoroughly enjoyable and seductive, this 2004 vintage is designed to win you over with its affability, not to impress you. Yet it is truly outstanding and a treasure for grandchildren to discover in grandad’s cellar!
