The van der Niepoort family are an iconic ‘legacy’ producer in Portugal dating back to 1842. Lesser-known than the big Port houses, in our view they are massively under-rated as a smaller, more precise winery and have a strong link with not just Port but also brilliant dry/table wines from all over Portugal.
2005 is rich, elegant and fine. The floral and fruity character is predominant with a long spicy aftertaste. A robust vintage that framed with a impressive long finish and fine tannins
