Domaine Arlaud was among the first wine estates in Burgundy to stop using chemicals like herbicides in their vineyards. They realised the negative impacts had on the environment and the quality of their wines.
Today, the estate implements organic and biodynamic principles and methods of agriculture. This means they do not allow the use of pesticides, chemical treatments, and synthetic fertilisers. This approach ensures and enhances the quality of the soil, planted grapevines, and produced wines.
This wine has a deep ruby colour in the glass and reveals the aroma of red and dark fruits like cherries, strawberries, and blackcurrants, along with hints of black pepper and earthy undertones. On the palate, it is lively and bright, medium-bodied, framed with moderate tannins, well-balanced acidity, and a smooth finish. It is a versatile wine that pairs well with a range of dishes like grilled meats, stews, and even vegetarian cuisine.
