In 1930, at just 20 years old, Gaston Hochar founded Chateau Musar, inspired by Lebanon’s 6,000-year winemaking tradition and his travels in Bordeaux. The wines of Chateau Musar are a unique expressions from the high altitude Bekaa Valley.
Chateau Musar 2014 is deep ruby in color, and has a complex array of aromas: sweet cherry, plum, dried fruits, and tobacco. On the palate, the wine has a soft, rounded mouthfeel with lots of flavor and fruit concentration – caramel, mocha, ripe red fruits which are supported with soft, velvety tannins and a spicy finish.
