This is the flagship red in the Holus Bolus range, produced by husband-and-wife dream team Amy Christine and Peter Hunken. It hails from low-yielding, ungrafted Syrah vines within the famous John Sebastiano Vineyard.
The 2019 vintage is savoury, broad and persistent. Luscious nose with pink peppercorn, pepper, black olive tapenade and iodine aromas. The palate weaves black fruit, raspberry, wild herbs, tea leaf, rosemary and an elegant hint of smoke. A lovely touch of cloves and fresh lavender lingers on the long, tenacious finish.
