Billecart Salmon Champagne favoured the historic Grand Cru vineyard of Mesnil-sur Oger in Côte des Blancs; to produce Billecart Salmon Rendez Vous No.6 Chardonnay, with fruits harvested from vintage 2014. This plot is where Chardonnay thrives and expresses its self to the fullest.
The wine has a luminous gold colour. Its aroma is dominated by the scent of white roses, jasmine and the flesh of citrus fruit, with undertones of minerality, tart pear and clementine juice. The palate is elegant and complex, with notes of almond powder and tender nougat, along with a creamy texture. The salinity note at the end emphasises its origin in the Côte des Blancs terroir. The wine finishes with a lift of bergamot, iodine and white pepper.
Limited edition from Billecart Salmon Champagne. Delightful to enjoy now but can also age gracefully for a further 5 years.
