This is pure Sangiovese Chianti from well-loved vines planted from 1975 to 1999 on high elevation, organic sandstone soils. Quietly farmed, away in the hills of Tuscany this wine transports you to everything amazing about the region.

The wine is a medium, lighter ruby colour in the glass. It has a multi-dimensional layering of flavours and textures. Firstly, red and black cherry, cedar and then secondary flavours of prune, tobacco, leathery earth, and fruits of the forest. All the flavour is underpinned by a freshness running through the wine – already 4 years old it is still as fresh as a daisy. Edgy, and absolutely delicious. Classic Chianti! Grazie, Pruneto! Enjoy with the best of Italy..! Veal Parmesan, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, blue cheese and rich stews.
