Corzano e Paterno is a winery full of family traditions and history. The winery began in 1972 and winemaker Arianna Gelpke has been overseeing the cellar since 2005. She has continued her family legacy by producing pure expressions from the region. Il Passito is made from carefully selected bunches of Trebbiano and Malvasia. The grapes are hung to dry in the “Vinsantaia” for 3 months. Following the fermentation, the casks are sealed and left in a well ventilated room for 13 years without any intervention!
A beautiful golden color, with a concentrated nose of salted caramel, almonds, orange peel, toffee, tobacco, and figs. The opulent and intense palate is a prelude for the extremely long elegant finish. It is super complex and yet balanced by a vibrant acidity! A sweet wine that you’ll want to drink at all times of the day!
