The van der Niepoort family are an iconic ‘legacy’ producer in Portugal dating back to 1842. Lesser-known than the big Port houses, in our view they are massively under-rated as a smaller, more precise winery and have a strong link with not just Port but also brilliant dry/table wines from all over Portugal.

It is a dark purple wine with a very intense black fruit nose. On the palate, it’s young and powerful, with great richness and bold tannins. Accompanied by a long finish.
