At Domaine du Séminaire, the approach to viticulture is deeply rooted in organic farming, with a leaning towards biodynamic practices. The vineyard is managed without synthetic chemicals, relying instead on natural processes to maintain soil health and vine vitality. Biodynamic principles are particularly embraced in the cellar, where the lunar calendar guides various winemaking activities. This holistic approach ensures that the wines are not only environmentally sustainable but also expressive of their unique terroir.

The winemaking philosophy at Domaine du Séminaire prioritises minimal intervention to allow the true character of the terroir to shine through. Native yeasts are used for fermentation, and the addition of inputs is kept to a minimum. This method respects the natural balance of the grapes and results in wines that are fresh, straight, and frank, with a distinct sense of place. The winery’s reliance on traditional techniques, coupled with modern advancements, ensures consistency and quality across its range of wines.

Domaine du Séminaire produces a diverse array of wines, including whites, rosés, and reds with a variety of grapes such as Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette, and Grenache Blanc.

The estate holds a deep respect for the land and is dedicated to quality. This ethos is well aligned with Wanderlust Wine. By working directly with the producers, we are able to bring their organic Cote du Rhone to the UK market at fair prices. This is a delicious and classic wine made sustainably and honestly.
