Terres de Velle is a relatively new domaine that was established in 2009 by Sophie and Fabrice Laronze, a husband-and-wife team based in Auxey-Duresses. They oversee the production of 18 appellations each year, using grapes grown on their 7-hectare estate.
This 2017 Puligny-Montrachet is a blend of 80% of 65-year-old vines from the Nosroyes vineyard and the remaining 20% from the Levrons vineyard, which was planted around 30 years ago. This wine is known for its purity and aromatic expression. The nose is dominated by white flowers and citrus fruits, followed by a delicate, fresh, mineral quality, subtle citrus notes, and remarkable precision on the palate. The tension will carry you to the depth of flavour and lingering finish.
This is a very small batch production, with only around 1900 bottles produced per vintage!
