Big Table Farm Wild Bee Chardonnay

The ‘Wild Bee’ Chardonnay – this superb wine starts you off with light citrus & spice notes that combine with apple and exotic fruit that take shape in the glass. Largely aged in used French oak, the palate has wonderful brightness and a silky texture. Layered and rich, lemon and citrus notes dominate the wine, however, it has undertones of minerality which ‘hems’ the whole sensory journey together. The finish is wonderfully long and generous with some gentle almond notes. Esoteric and outstanding, it reminds us of a sunny spring day; light on its feet, refreshing and effortless. A delight to drink now, however, it will age for a decade at least, gaining complexity as it matures.
