Biodynamic producer Tenuta Lenzini make superb wines on the Tuscan coast, next to the town of Lucca. This is a very special library release of some of the older wine they have aged in their cellar. Being 12 years old, this wine is now developed to a stage of maturity that is superb to drink now or keep for a few more years and continues to develop.

The wine is dominated by a complex and layered network of dried fruits, prune, sweet dark fruits and cigar box. More ‘pure’ than Bordeaux you can often find at this age, the Syrah in the blend gives an underlying spicy tone which is present on the supple finish. A fantastic view into mature Italian wines at a price point still way below what you would pay in other wine regions at this age.
