Vintage The Eyrie Vineyards Pinot Meunier 2017

£59.00

The Eyrie Vineyard in Oregon stands as a living testament to the birth of Oregon’s wine industry. Pioneer in the truest sense, David Lett was the first to plant vines in the Dundee Hills, Oregon in 1965. He believed Willamette Valley would be the second-best home for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay outside Burgundy. Apart from the suitable climate, David also selected the most iconic soil: Jory, now Oregon’s state soil, formed from volcanic flows 15 to 17 million years ago.

Today, there are 300+ wineries in Oregon, The Eyrie Vineyards continues to shape Oregon’s wine legacy, crafting wines that reflect the unique character of their land and the enduring spirit of the region’s style.

The 2017 Pinot Meunier has a delightful aroma of fresh strawberries and blackberries, complemented by rustic hints of leather, earthiness, dried herbs, and forest wood. The palate is light-bodied, with soft and juicy notes of strawberry and raspberry, with a spicy finish. The tannins are fresh and sustained, making for a smooth, enjoyable experience.
