Raul Perez Los Arrotos Albarin

£32.00

Not, it’s not a misspelling: Albarín is not the same as the better-known Albariño  – it is actually indigenous to Asturias and has no relation to the Galician flagship.
This wine is made with fruit from an old-vineyard located in the village of Villamañán, in León, at an altitude of 810 meters, planted in 1970 on clay pebble-rich soil. The juice is fermented with natural yeast in 500-litre barrels.
The nose combines aromas of lemon, orange zest and white flowers. The palate is elegant and showcases the Moscatel-like flavour Albarín can deliver, with added vibrancy and refreshing acid. Lime, ripe stone fruits and a touch of honey, supooirted by vibrant acidity, out to a long finish with a hint of lemon thyme.
