The 2019 El Rapolao shows the depth and concentration of the vintage, delivering a richly structured yet captivating Bierzo. More full-bodied than the 2017 and 2018.
It shines deep garnet in the glass, with aromas of cassis, cherry, lavender, smoky minerals, and a touch of licorice. The palate is youthfully chewy but alluringly sweet, with concentrated flavours of black raspberry, bitter cherry, boysenberry, and succulent herbs, all sharpened by bright, juicy acidity. Firm but ripe tannins frame the wine, while the finish is smoky, sweet, and exceptionally long, leaving a lasting impression of depth and elegance.
A wine of power and poise, with decades of evolution ahead.
