Vintage Niepoort Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) Port 2017 Half Bottle
£16.75
Owner & winemaker Dirk Niepoort calls this the “Little Brother” of the Vintage Port, as the origins of the grapes and vinification methods are identical. Taken from Ports made in the 2017 harvest, this Late Bottled Vintage is always aged four to six years before release, but we are delighted to have some back vintages which are mature and ready to drink with deserved complexity.
2017 LBV is a brilliant red colour with a wonderful aroma of dark fruits and a classy touch of chocolate. On the palate sweet grainy seductive tannins give the wine a superb elegance and interact well with the fruit and fine, polished finish. Ideal with an aged Gouda or a chunk of strong Cheddar or just simply to have at the dinner table for your desserts and post-dinner libations.
