Fondo Antico from the Polizzotti-Scuderi family have 80 hectares of vineyards located in Contrada Portelli, in the Trapani area of Sicily. The family has owned the estate since the early 1800s and began producing wine in 1920. Tradition, heritage, and an understanding of the terroir are what create the beautiful wines from Fondo Antico. They cultivate the Nero d’Avola at 200m above sea level, on limestone soil to retain the elegance and freshness in the wine.

Brilliant aromas of black cherry, plum, and tobacco. The palate is marked by the full-body and juicy tannin. A long finish of licorice and refreshing acidity. A classic example of Nero d’Avola from the region.
