Mark Haisma is an Aussie who made wine for a long time at the legendary producer, Yarra Yering in Australia. In 2009 he decided to step up and make more serious wines in the capital of Chardonnay & Pinot – Burgundy!
A clean lemon-gold hue in the glass, this wine opens with lifted aromas of baked apple, ripe apricot and a touch of spice, underpinned by a subtle reductive edge that adds intrigue without dominating. The palate is vibrant and full of energy, carrying generous fruit with remarkable tension and precision. The fruit concentration is beautifully balanced with a focused line of acidity, driving you through to a long, persistent finish.
A beautifully balanced White Burgundy from 2020, showing both ripe fruit character and fine mineral structure, with impressive length and finesse.
