Vulcao makes textural, complex and saline mineral white wines in the Portuguese Azores Islands, in the heart of the Atlantic. Produced from a selected area of the Solar Terra Brum vineyards, located in Areia Larga, in Pico Island, from old vines and native grape varieties.
The Terra Brum wine is their top expression of the local grapes, aged for 10 months in egg-shaped cement tanks, with fruit growing on the unique basalt soils of the Pico island. It is fuller-bodied than its sibling wine yet retains the same vibrancy and balance due to the trademark minerality. Expect a journey of citrus aromas, supported by shiny textural layers with saline and mouthwatering long finish. A wine that will surprise and delight, with incredible purity and elegance.
