Vintage Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape 2003
£120.00
Château de Beaucastel has long been regarded as one of the greatest wineries in France, notorious for its elegance, poise and ageing potential. Beaucastel has an exceptional terroir at the Northern point of Châteauneuf du Pape, exposed to the cooling Mistral wind which provides such balance. All thirteen grape varieties of the Chateauneuf have been organically grown since the sixties; without a doubt, Beaucastel is a name we are proud to highlight and an organic wine icon that many have learnt from.
A standout from the hot 2003 vintage, this wine offers delicate rose aromas alongside fig, red fruit, and savoury meat jus. The palate is full-bodied, soft, and round with surprising freshness. Decanting two hours before serving is highly recommended. Drink now or cellar for added complexity in the years ahead.
