Sweet Tokaji is made from leaving the grapes to hang on the vine, collect a good amount of botrytis rot which removes the water and makes the grapes get much sweeter and turn into something that looks like a raisin. The wine is the top sweet wine that Kikelet makes and also the sweetest at the 6 puttonyos level of sweetness.
After more than 10 years of bottle ageing, the 2013 vintage reveals remarkable intensity and complexity. Bursting with flavours of baked, concentrated pineapple, fresh, dried apricots and warm baking spices, this wine strikes an exquisite balance between sweetness, vibrant fruit, and zesty acidity.
Each sip offers a layered, evolving journey that culminates in an exceptionally long and satisfying finish, a showcase of the top wine from Tokaji.
