Mark Haisma is an Aussie who made wine for a long time at the legendary producer, Yarra Yering in Australia. In 2009 he decided to step up and make more serious wines in the capital of Chardonnay & Pinot – Burgundy!
The fruit for this wine was planted from a plot located above the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, on a south-west facing slope that captures the afternoon sun like a vast array of solar panels. This Burgundian Pinot Noir has an ultra-fresh profile with a subtle saline touch, adding depth to its character. The wine displays a bright ruby colour with aromas of violets, roses, strawberries, and cranberries. On the palate, it is silky yet energetic, with balanced acidity that leads to a long, lingering finish.
