Niepoort LBV is a full-bodied red Port that is made from a selection of wines from a single vintage. It is aged for 4 to 6 years in large wooden vats to achieve a round and mature character. This extended ageing period allows the LBV to be enjoyed soon after bottling.
The 2012 LBV has a garnet hue on the rim, the wine offers refined aromas of cherries along with a subtle fragrant floral character. The palate opens up with gently extracted fruit, it is superbly balanced and fresh, lifted with a robust and firm finish with a tannic grip. A vintage in a very elegant manner.
