“Perfectly honeyed nectar” would be the way we’d describe this benchmark Tokaji from Istvan Szespy. 3 puttonyos Tokaji is less sweet and more affordable than the ultra-sweet Tokajis, and so these compete directly with Sauternes. Golden straw in colour, the wine is delicately balanced and light on its feet it will make the end of your meal with flavours of fresh apricots, glazed apricot delice, plum and sweet preserved lemon. Rich, yet balanced and intense. A real treat from the winemaker known as the ‘master of Tokaji’.
