2017 vintage is impressively aromatic, with waves of blueberries, ripe blackberries, cherries, and a hint of plum fruitcake. On the palate, it begins soft and round, offering layers of blackberry, plum, red cherry, and pomegranate, all lifted by subtle notes of chocolate and warming spice in the background. As it opens, the wine expands with mouth-filling berry fruit and rich, dark, molasses-like undertones. It’s intense and well-structured, carrying its depth effortlessly through to a long finish. The alcohol is beautifully integrated, supported by elegant yet grippy tannins.
2007 was a particularly strong year for Cinsault, which delivered beautifully concentrated red berry and cherry notes, almost reminiscent of Amarone in its richness. Meanwhile, the Cabernet Sauvignon, resting in vats, revealed deep aromas of roasted coffee beans and ripe fruit, a classic hallmark of a warmer vintage.
